NHS Data Collection from GP Practices

From the 1st July 2021 the NHS will start an automatic data collection from GP Practices.

You can find out about what data they will collect, how they will use it and how to opt out by going onto then search for “General practice data for planning and research: NHS Digital transparency notice”. In the section “opting out of NHS Digital collecting your data (Type 1 opt out)” there is a link to download the opt-out form and bring into the surgery.

If you don’t want ANY of your data to be collected you must let us have your opt-out forms BEFORE the 23rd June, as we need time to process your request before the start date of the 1st July 2021.

You can opt out at any time, but data collected between 1st July and the date you opted out will continue to be used, but no further data will be collected.
